Kelsey Nickels Biography
Kelsey Nickels began her career in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field in 2013 through the Best Buddies program at Lee University, where she partnered with students from Trousdale School. In 2014, while attending Lee University, she joined Life Bridges as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and accepted a full-time position as Program Manager in the Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) department. Over the years, Kelsey has served in several roles at Life Bridges, including Case Manager and Reportable Events Management Coordinator, where she helped develop and expand Enabling Technology supports.
In 2026, she became Director of Quality Supports, overseeing reportable events, protection from harm initiatives, and Enabling Technology supports while providing leadership to Quality Specialists and the MAPs Program. Kelsey has been happily married to her husband since 2019. Together, they are raising their son, Samson.

In 2026, Kelsey became Director of Quality Supports. In this role, she oversees reportable events, protection from harm initiatives, and Enabling Technology supports, while providing leadership and guidance to Quality Specialists and the MAPs Program.
Working in this field has always felt like a calling for me. What began as a college experience through Best Buddies quickly became a lifelong passion for supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Throughout my time at Life Bridges, I have had the privilege of serving in many different capacities, and each role has given me a deeper appreciation for the people we support and the mission we share.
As I continue my work as Director of Quality Supports, I am excited to help strengthen systems that promote safety, independence, and quality of life. I am especially passionate about the potential of Enabling Technology to create new opportunities for people to achieve their goals and live more self-directed lives. No matter what role I have held at Life Bridges, my purpose has remained the same: to love others the way God loves me and to serve with compassion, integrity, and respect.
