Roni Rawls Biography
Roni Rawls graduated with her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) in 1994. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from UTC and graduated in 2009. Roni’s passion for learning and education has led her to expand her skill set by participating in multiple continuing education courses over the years, including earning a specialty certificate in orthopedics in 2010. She worked in the field of orthopedics for 17 years before joining the team at Life Bridges in 2011.
Roni is an exercise enthusiast and is certified as a trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF). She is also a certified BodyPump and BodyFlow instructor. She teaches at two Cleveland, Tennessee gyms in her spare time. In addition, she takes pleasure in spending time with her husband, Dan, and her dog and cat, Maggie and Barry.
Roni worked at Life Bridges as a DSP for five years while in PT school in the late 80’s and early 90’s. She returned as the Director of Therapy Services in 2011. She has always had a love and passion for the individuals at Life Bridges. She prefers to focus on the abilities that people display, as opposed to the disabilities. The therapies department goals are to keep people safe and to facilitate capabilities and develop potential. This is the focus of our department: “We seek to SEE the ABILITIES a person has and help them to achieve it!”
