Tim Henderson Biography

Tim Henderson currently serves as the President/CEO of Cleveland Utilities Authority. He grew up in Cleveland/ Bradley County and is a graduate of Cleveland High School and East Tennessee State University.  His work path began as an Environmentalist for the state of Tennessee.  Tim then moved to the Department of Labor, working both with Federal OSHA and the State of Tennessee TOSHA.  After spending 8 years as the Director of Safety Compliance for TOSHA, Tim moved to Cleveland Utilities in 1993.  His utility path specifically started with guiding the safety, health and security for all divisions of the organization.  In 2000, he was promoted to Assistant Manager of Administrative Services and worked closely with government and community affairs.  In 2012, he assumed the role of Vice President of the department, was promoted to Senior Vice President in May 2016 and President/CEO in November 2016.

Tim has served on or continues to serve on the Central Service Association Board, Junior Achievement Board, Tree Board, Tennova Board, Life Bridges Board, Planning Commission, Ocoee River Recreation and Economic Development Board, Chamber of Commerce Board, the United Way of Bradley County Board, Southeastern Industrial Development Association (SEIDA) Board, along with other committees for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA), and Southeast District Power Distributors Association (SDPDA). 

Tim has a love for people and a passion to enjoy the outdoor creation.  He is blessed with three sons, Cole, Conner and Chase.
